SURPRISE!!!!

Okay... so the surprise is that I'm actually doing a post! :)

So.... What is new with me? I am starting school (again) June 7th. I will be taking Anatomy and Physiology I and Microbiology both with their associated labs. I'm excited... I think... My schedule is going to be a busy one. Monday and Wednesdays I will start school at 8 am and will be in classes until 5 pm. I will have only 1 break and that will be from 11 am to 12 pm. I'm a little worried about how burned out I might get. That is a lot of information to absorb in only 8 weeks.
I also have Friday class from 8 am to 12 pm. At least it is a shorter day... but still... I also am working! I will talk about that in a minute... but first:

Q: Why am I doing this to myself and not enjoying my summer school free?

A: I am working on getting accepted into Nursing school at Chamberlain College of Nursing through Devry University!

School will start October 25th for the fall semester. By doing these two classes I will be able to cut a whole semester off my studies. I am super super excited about nursing. I think that it is a good move for me and my family. My kids need to have more stability and support. I think that having a steady income from a secure career will be really good.

I am working at a store in the Chesterfield mall ~ Archiver's. For those of you who know me pretty well, you would totally see how that is the perfect job for me! It is a scrapbooking store full of creativity and fun! I go into work and come home (usually) happier than when I went in. It is a super fun and energetic place to be. We have (here I go again, on my sales pitch... I feel it coming on...) Mania Friday and Saturday nights for people to come and work on Scrapbooking or card making or anything they want to. We provide page packets, demos, door prize drawings, and a light dinner, all for only $15! It is a lot of fun! Also on the weekdays, the workroom is free for use and we have free and low cost classes. Next weekend (April 30th-May 2nd) is our National Scrapbook day celebration. We will be having make and take projects, and a store full of people!

As far as my married life, it is almost over... My divorce should be finalized soon. Don't be sad for me. I'm very happy with where I am in my life and I am working on being a happier person and doing those things that I haven't been able to do for years. My kids miss their daddy and I hope that they will be able to see him this summer. It will be good for them.

I have been dating... I'm sure that a few of you have heard some names... there has been Brandon, Jim, Tom, Bob, Paul, Tony, and Greg... I am toning down now, and not dating quite as many at any one time. It has just been fun to get out and have fun. Greg and I have been getting closer... We'll see where things go... I'm trying to be careful and take it slow.

Well... I'll talk to you guys again soon! Luv ya!

My Purse

So I have finally gotten around to reading my dear sisters' blog. Come to find out, back in February she tagged me and I am just now responding to that tag.

Here's the rules:

1) Post a picture or two of the purse you are carrying now. Do not cheat and go and grab that cute purse that is stashed away in your closet, post what you are using now.

2) Post how much you spent on your fabulous bag, and if there is a great story to go along with it then include that.

3) Tag some people to see what they're using as their bag and the stories that go behind them.

Well, I don't remember exactly how much I spent on this purse. I think it was only $10. How can you go wrong at that price? I like buying purses and I do every 6 months or so. This one I got on clearance at K-Mart. In my experience that isn't the best place to get a purse, but I was kinda in a pinch and it was cute enough.

The thing I like most about my purse, is that it is pink inside! I love little snaches of unexpected color. It is FUN!!!

Well... The only camera I have that is semi-working is the one on my phone, so here it goes...

(By the way Britta, I got your purse for you at Fashion Bug. Thats a decent place to buy them)

Okay... so who to tag... I think that I am going to tag Rychelle and Nicole. Have fun ladies!

Back into Reality

So, Hello to all!!!

I am in Logan, UT with my three kids and husband Wayne of 6 1/2 years. Julia is 5, Carolyn is 2 and Andrew is 1. We are kind of in an inbetween spot right now, sort of the same as we have been in for the past 6 years... We are attempting to get a home on an Auction next month and are hoping and praying hard that all works out with that. The place that we are currently living in has only one bedroom. Yes, you heard me right, 1 bedroom. It is a very large room. about 20' by 15'. We put a curtain across the middle of the room with the kids on one side and us on the other. There is plenty of room, but the curtain is a bit thin, and the kids kinda wake each other up. How did the early Americans do it - all sleeping in the same room? It is a bit hard. We have figured out that puting Andrew to sleep for night time in the 'dining room' in his portacrib helps. We then are all able to sleep about an hour longer in the morning. Maybe it is because everyone is waiting for the others to wake up... I don't know why it works, but it does. That must have been some sort of inspiration!!! :)

So, the reason I chose the background that I did is because the area that we are in is all mountains. We are in the middle of the Rockys. It is GEORGOUS!!! It is great to be so close to nature and to the open air. I love this area. I think that it is my second favorite place. The first would be anywhere near the open water. Earlier today there was a show on TV that was featuring haunted lighthouses. I enjoyed the show just for the water. There is nothing like seeing the water crash up against the shore. Sometimes it is very angry and other times it is slow and just very relaxing. I sometimes yearn for the time in my life to just be able to get away enough to be able to listen to myself think. Being able to listen to the water and possibly be able to fall asleep next to it would be so neat!!!
